Egg + Teapot/Teacup + Tree studies

Egg studies for February.... The first egg sucked ("b"). The second egg was epic! Gurren Lagann rocks! And the third egg was alright....but I got better over time.

We did 50 thumbnails of Teapot and Teacup. And chose 5 to develop more... Out of some of the thumbnails, I had fun creating a little love story haha....
Tree studies....We had to go outdoor and paint ;O; I hate painting outdoor!! Just setting up the supplies was troublesome ;o; Which is why I prefer digital....

Next...posting some figure drawing...or stuff from my sketchbook.....

Color Rendering

Stuff from Fall Semester 113A.

We started with 16 color comps (I can't find the other 2) before we began painting. Such a pain. But I learned quite a bit about color mixing. And then we transfered onto an 8x8 and rendered with acrylics for about a month or so.
My grade....94/100 ORZ|||
That's okay.....Some people really rendered theirs to the tiniest spec of detail it's like impossible.

2007 Doodles

To close off 2007...here are few drawings I did around November-December-ish.

Get Real fanart. It's that gay film haha.

Hand study and an Oofuri doodle.

Style study...I was trying to imitate Kazu Aki's style. Her style is so beautiful *A*
If I'm not lazy enough, I'll post my daily sketches and life drawing stuff I did recently. I still need to put up my color rendering XD;;

I haven't been drawing in my regular sketchbook lately due to working on doujinshi T__T;;

School coming! Oh noes!

Painting Practice

Some acrylic paintings I did throughout 113A class.

Early Sunday, my art 113A class went landscape painting at Monte Belle, near Palo Alto. It was bloody windy like a Hurricane up on the hill. So basically I was freezing like hell, sitting on thorny grasses painting for an hour until I couldn't stand the coldness. My hand was sooo frozen. It was a fun experience for the first time...but next time if I go landscape painting, I'll go when the weather is nice. Maybe I'll go back and define the shape more.

Grayscale Master study of Wyeth's painting. My semi-first application of acrylic painting!
Another go at painting still life in class. Next time I should sit more closer to the subject matter for better detail. At this point, I am still not used to acrylics.
In here, I was taking a break from color grid (bloody hell i hate that project) and used the remaining paint to do something fun. Mostly complementary or analogous colors I think.. And it turned out to be Hikaru...and then Haruhi ^^;; Ah, I draw them waaaaaaay too much XD;;; Need to get back to oricharas that I've been igonoring... But still, love them!! Hikaru's dark hair suits him much better~ <3 I got better with the Haruhi after trying out Hikaru.

Painting with wet medium is fun~~ but I just really hate the cleaning part TAT;; Maybe I'll paint some more after this semester ends.

113A - B&W Rending

Number of Hours worked on this: Some 60-70+ hours.
Some detail shots. I really like how the pattern turned out and the little tassel strings.
Cameron Chun, our art instructor, was so nitpicky on every detail T__T;; I got a 91/100 I think. *emoes* Although that would make me want to try harder for the color part of this assignment, I''m feeling so lazy =w=;; Next, I'll post some color comps after we get it back.

Now onto Thanksgiving Break! Draw draw draw! (or for me, cg cg cg)
