Finally scanned and composited the part together for the portfolio I'm working on T__T

This took forever...there still needs to be a lot of color adjustment on the actual painting, but I edited it on photoshop for now.

My Weekend....

Art 28's Word of the Week Assignment was "Weekend". I could only think of what I'm doing on the weekend...which is writing my freakin essays and doing homework T___T

Inspired by Ashley Wood's painting/color style. It was mostly getting the shape down...not yet fixing the anatomy. I'll clean it up more later...

Colors - Saratoga Spring

Went to my mom's company picnic at the Saratoga Spring. Lots of nature stuff I wanted to draw..but didn't have enough time... I painted the forest through an opening of a bridge with the Colors app for NDS.

Still need a lot of working on painting quick and getting the color down T___T;;

Disappointment

I'm really really disappointed in myself for not being more ambitious to further my art skills. This Fall semester I am hoping to push myself and be more dedicated to filling my sketchbook with life studies during break time. Also attending to life drawing session is high priority now.

I need to work on more drawings so I have something worthy to put in my portfolio to apply to the Anim/Illust program this year.

Egg + Teapot/Teacup + Tree studies

Egg studies for February.... The first egg sucked ("b"). The second egg was epic! Gurren Lagann rocks! And the third egg was alright....but I got better over time.


We did 50 thumbnails of Teapot and Teacup. And chose 5 to develop more... Out of some of the thumbnails, I had fun creating a little love story haha....
Tree studies....We had to go outdoor and paint ;O; I hate painting outdoor!! Just setting up the supplies was troublesome ;o; Which is why I prefer digital....


Next...posting some figure drawing...or stuff from my sketchbook.....

Color Rendering

Stuff from Fall Semester 113A.

We started with 16 color comps (I can't find the other 2) before we began painting. Such a pain. But I learned quite a bit about color mixing. And then we transfered onto an 8x8 and rendered with acrylics for about a month or so.
My grade....94/100 ORZ|||
That's okay.....Some people really rendered theirs to the tiniest spec of detail it's like impossible.

Tree Study

Argh....I sorta been slacking on my draw from life everyday goal T___T;;; Oh well, I lasted about a month ^^;;; The sketchbook is so heavy to carry around ;o;

Finally got my TekkonKinkreet Shiro/Kuro artbook!! So now that I have good reference... (well i wish it was better...) FANART!! I love the rough sketches in the Shiro side. I wish I had a more looser style.... Oh well. I still have a hard time believing Shiro is a boy....does that make Kuro/Shiro like a BL couple in fujoushi eyes? XD;;;;
