From the same project; My first try at Matte Painting for one of my classmate's 3d model! The small ones were roughs for her original color/lighting but was changed.

Art 116 Illustration
Barron Storey's Conceptual Illustration project. We had to create 6 characters based on ourselves, design an environment they live in, and then make an illustration of a climatic moment. Very fun. I would love to use the characters again if I ever make my own story haha. Characters/Story is a blend of Chinese/WW1/1930s culture.

Color Rendering
Stuff from Fall Semester 113A.
We started with 16 color comps (I can't find the other 2) before we began painting. Such a pain. But I learned quite a bit about color mixing.
And then we transfered onto an 8x8 and rendered with acrylics for about a month or so.
My grade....94/100 ORZ|||
That's okay.....Some people really rendered theirs to the tiniest spec of detail it's like impossible.
